Stitch Labs Simplifies Multichannel Inventory Management

The cloud-based service helps small businesses better coordinate their sales across Amazon, eBay, Etsy and other e-commerce storefronts.
Small businesses that need to keep online and offline inventories managed holistically – even across multiple electronic marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay -- might want to check out the cloud-based services offered by Stitch Labs.
The service focuses on gathering inventory and customer information in a central location, so that sales orders, invoices and shipping processes can be handled from a single application. If can be used for tasks such as invoicing, creating packing slips, and viewing sales histories for specific customers or products.
One of the service’s most powerful selling points is the number of integrations that it offers with popular small-business-focused e-commerce options, as well with other cloud services used extensively by entrepreneurs. It allows these channels to be managed in aggregate.

Orbring, which sells tumbling mats for gymnastics and martial arts in several different electronic forums, opted for Stitch Labs after struggling with its manual process. Each channel had to be considered separately, and then compiled into a spreadsheet and analyzed.
"We tried to build our own inventory management system, but we couldn’t get this to work," said Sean Peng, owner and founder of Orbring, which has just four employees and about 5,000 square feet of warehouse space. "This is a huge task for any small business."
With StitchLabs, the information across Orbring’s markets on Amazon and eBay is synchronized: when something is bought in one place, the change is also reflected in the other storefront. That way, customers always see a true, real-time accounting of what is really available.

Founded in 2011 by a small-business owner who was frustrated with his inventory management options, StitchLabs snagged $3.5 million in funding last fall from Costanoa Ventura Capital and True Ventures.
There is a 14-day free trial period for the StitchLabs service. After that, the application starts at $25 per month to support one integrated sales channels, three users and up to 50 orders per month. The most popular plan costs $75 per month for up to 500 orders, four integrated sales channels, 10 users and unlimited reports.
