We Track Expenses!

Yes, that is correct, we now have a tool to track expenses! So many of our wonderful customers said that integration is great but they wanted expenses to be located in the same place as the bulk of their business operations. Well, we got some great feedback and for all of you who asked, we are now delivering. Like everything else on Stitch Labs, it is quite powerful, yet simple to use.

Here is a brief overview...

You can add expenses for an internal company expense or to any vendor you like. The smart search will automatically look through your contacts and if you want to add a new vendor, just type in the box and it will automatically be created for you.


Once the expense is added, there are so many things you can do!

Your 'standard' expenses stuff...

Add the amount the expense was for, and if you paid any tax, add that too. Feel free to add as many notes as you'd like, and set the date accordingly.


Why be forced to categorize things in a way you don't understand? We didn't see the need. You can have as many categories and subcategories as you'd like (yay!). Don't see one you want prelisted, just select 'Custom' from the dropdown, and you can enter whatever you'd like.

Recurring expenses...

We thought it would be extra annoying to have to keep re-entering expenses that occur on a regular basis. Simply check the 'Recurring' box and a handy window will appear. There you can set how often the expense occurs, the next time the expense will happen, and even set specific parameters. Once you have it set, we'll do the rest. Each expense will automatically appear the day before it is billed.

Files, Files, and more Files...

Never lose the invoice or P.O. your customer sent you. You have a copy of the receipt? Don't lose that either. You can upload as many files to each expense as you'd like.

User permissions...

Yep, that's right, just like the other parts of the tool, you can set user permissions for who gets to use the tool and who gets to see which expenses.

We're still working on more handy stats in the dashboard and QuickBooks export, but those will be up soon.
